No Way to Save Saving Grace

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Its all decided guys and no body even bothered to ask the opinion of the fans. Yes, I am talking about the cancellation of police drama Saving Grace, which stars Oscar winner Holly Hunter in the central role of a detective with Oklahoma City Police. The cable network has confirmed the cancellation in a press release. The fourth season of the series came to an end on August 18, 2009. The cop drama will come to an end in 2010 after a nine-episode run next summer.

Saving Grace served as a natural companion to the network’s The Closer and averaged 3.5 million per episode that aired in the fourth season. In July itself Hunter was nominated for an Emmy for her role as Det. Grace Hanadarko for the second consecutive year.

The 2009 Emmy Awards will air live Sept. 20 on CBS.

In fact, TNT wanted 15 episodes, split between summer and winter for the fourth season, but the studio turned down the offer for financial reasons and instead struck this shortened deal to give Grace a proper send-off.

“Since ‘Saving Grace’ began in 2007, the series has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare,” TNT head of programming Michael Wright said in a statement. “The show’s continued success is thanks to the amazing talents of Holly Hunter and Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team. They have taken us on a unique journey, and we look forward to seeing where it will ultimately lead.”

All said and done, but what about the fans who made this show such a huge success? I guess we will be left with no other option but to download the show and watch it everytime we start missing Det. Grace. In case you also agree with me then, this website is the best place to download Saving Grace episodes. God is there to Save Our Grace

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

“Saving Grace” TV series teaches us that even when we feel we have reached a dead end in life there is still light at the end of tunnel. That light is nothing but Gods way of showering his grace on us. Goodness, gracious me! This is nothing but God’s voice inside us. This me is not I but him, the eternal one, the loving, the ocean of mercy, Jesus Christ. “Saving Grace” TV show has started a revolution in minds of fans of this show like me.

The main protagonist of this show “Grace” symbolizes a sinner on verge of reformation. Her last chance angel, Earl is like a medium, which serves as a connection between her and God. I feel it is like the way we keep connected to our near and dear ones via mobile phones. Every time Grace goes astray, via Earl she keeps on receiving guidance from God. I have always wondered if it is so easy to connect with God as depicted in “Saving Grace” television series. When I put hard thought into it, I concluded that it was pureness in Grace call for help to God that made her connect to him. It’s same as having mobile with strong network connectivity. My comparisons might seem illogical but to me even lack of logic is due to our rigid and shortsighted attitude. The more we open up, the more flexible we are and more we can explore.

“Saving Grace” is near to completing trilogy of season as season 3 of this television series is about to conclude. This series definitely teaches us to keep “Hoping against the hope” as with hope, there are possibilities and with possibilities, there is magic on the cards. Those who still believe that all is lost and there are no means left to rediscover there lost grace, hold on. At least first, watch this television series and come to a concrete conclusion. No conclusion is final as every answer provides scope for a new question.

“Saving Grace” television series is so dear to me that I have ended up downloading all episodes of its season 1 and season 2 from this website. Now I can show it to all those who contemplating hope in the atmosphere of despair.

New Season for ‘Saving Grace’

Friday, May 29th, 2009

The tough-minded and pensive drama, Saving Grace, which has modeled the hard-hitting TV dramas until now is going to make its comeback. Saving Grace will be premiered on 16 June 2009 and it will be aired every Tuesday night after that.

The second season concluded on 13 April 2009. I was moved by Detective Grace Hanadarko’s concern about the fate of death-row inmate, Leon Cooley, in the final episode of the second season. She unsuccessfully tries to stop, or at least delay the state execution of Leon Cooley after learning about his friendship with her late sister.

The drama was a real portrayal of the anxiety, which is faced not only by a person whose execution date is drawing nearer, but also by those who are somehow related to that person. I think the close representation of real life scenarios, is one of the reasons why Saving Grace has made a separate place for itself amongst the bunch of the other cop shows being aired.

Actress Holly Hunter, who plays the lead role of Grace Hanadarko, in an interview reportedly, said that she felt that the show celebrated life, love and strong women. She also felt that Saving Grace presented a larger view of religion which was not defined by any one denomination.

Talking about her character, Hunter has been reported as saying that the appealing factor that really made her want to be a part of the series was that she felt Grace was capable of doing everything, which was enough to give meaning to life. She also said that she still did not know Grace like the back of her hand but was comfortable with her character, and happy about being able to continue playing her role in the third season of Saving Grace.

In her words, ‘No, I’m seriously - I find Grace to be a woman that embraces a lot of mystery, and that there are many, many things that I don’t know about her, that I still want to talk about.  That I want to talk about within the writing, you know, under the - in the structure of this show.  There’s a lot of stuff I want to discuss.  A lot of questions that I want to ask, and that I want Grace to ask.’

Saving Grace: a third season

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I know that there was a time when we were not even sure if the series would be able to complete its second season or not. But, finally we got the news that the series remaining eight episodes, from the second season, would be aired in March 2009. This was definitely good news for fans like me, though we will have to wait a bit, for the same, but one never minds waiting, when you know that the wait is going to be worthwhile. And, now, there is another good news and that is that we will have another season of the series. Yes, all you Saving Grace fans be ready for the third season of the series, which will hit the screens late next year. I guess 2009 will be a great year for the Saving Grace fans, there will be a lot to watch especially with this series.

I still remember how I started watching this series. It was my friend who loved the series and she recommended the series to me, but I never paid attention to what she said. Once, while I was at her place she made me watch the series and since then I have become a total freak for the show. After watching that episode at her place the next thing I did was to download the previous episodes of the series, so that I could get in touch with what I have missed out on. One thing, which I really like about the series, is that it is one show that has television’s most complex and compelling characters and the way the creators have dealt with them. Another, reason is that the series has a very different concept from the rest of the series that are on air, at this point of time.

Well, I really like to thank my friend for making me watch this series. And, as for now I am just waiting for the next year so that, I can get back to the series and enjoy its impending episodes.

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Hi.. Saving Grace Fans!

I know, you’ll be feeling very good as now it has been officially confirmed that ‘Saving Grace’ will be back in the beginning of 2009. Have a sigh of relief…..I know, how hard it’s to wait for our favorite ‘Saving Grace’ episodes, but as we’re unable to do anything else so just keep on waiting and have a heart!

Before, Saving Grace comes with some more episode, why not let’s review the previous episodes of series. Well, I’ve stared doing, just in order to cut off my wait. Yesterday, I download ‘Are You an Indian Princess’ from here and watched it for third time. I first watched it when it was aired on August 18, 08. After watching it yesterday, it’s not possible for me to stop myself from writing a review so I am here to do so.

We see that Grace and the team are called to investigate the murder of a woman. The woman is savagely murdered and her son goes on missing. The only one suspect in this case is her ex-husband. The boy is seen in the hospital with burns on his body and the investigation team must find out whether or not , boy’s father is involved in the case. We also see that Ham’s brother dies and his death may affect his job as a detective.

I loved this episode and was really a great episode. Ah! I can’t wait to see more and am desperately looking to watch what’s next. Oh! But it’s a bitter truth that the series is on hiatus and we’ll have to wait till March 2009 in order to have new episodes of ‘Saving Grace.

Series will be back with new episodes and I hope, we’ll see some new faces this times. Who you expect to see on ‘Saving Grace’ this season… well, I think Britney is the best choice… what you have to say??

The season One- Review

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Saving Grace is a rocking show and I have started missing it, though it has just been four days that it gone. But the news that it will not appear on next Monday is pretty striking for me. It’s gonna take six months for the come back. So I found the way to kill the time. I came here and watched the first season once again. You know the first five as well as the last one of the season are very well filmed and well written episodes.

In the pilot episode, Grace is introduced as a lady cop from the Oklahoma squad, who is a brilliant at investigation but in her personal life, she’s like a tom boy. She drinks heavily and one night stands are pretty normal thing for her, despite a love affair with a fellow officer, who is married as well. She doesn’t regret of this life style rather she’s happy with her life like this. But suddenly a shabby kind of person, chewing tobacco, appears in front of her, after she hits a man with her car and prays for help, he tells her that she is on the way to hell and should make modifications in her life style to prevent herself from the same. In the first two episodes she doesn’t take this incident seriously but steadily starts believing that here is an angel inspecting her all the time. She shares this secret with her best friend Rhetta as well as with her brother but everybody makes fun of her for these illusions.

In the second episode, her boy friend cum fellow officer, Ham, learns that she had a romantic past with another colleague Butch Ada and it disturbs their relationship. In the same episode she is seen solving a murder case of a man. In the third episode of season, she has to solve the mystery of killing of a manager of a sleazy motel. It’s here that Grace gives her acceptance to the presence of an Angel in her life. Throughout the rest of the season, she is busy with solving murder mysteries and in the finale episode she encounters the person who molested her in her childhood. Check out this season and you won’t regret it.
